Abilities Required:
Azista’s Aerospace & Satellite division specializes in designing, developing, manufacturing, and testing of satellites, sub- systems, payloads and sat-com products. Azista in partnership with Berlin Space Technologies GmbH (BST) has built the India’s largest private satellite mass manufacturing plant. Azista is looking is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic immediate hire for the role of opto-mechanical engineer to be part of our payloads team. The engineer would be part of the team, that would realize variety of optical telescopes.
Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3 -4 years of work experience.
  • Experience with CAD such as INVENTOR or SOLIDWORKS.
  • Experience with FEA modeling tools such as ANSYS/NASTRAN.
  • Fundamental knowledge of designing optical subassemblies, including design of optical mounts and structure.
  • Fundamental knowledge of tolerance analysis of opto-mechanical design, including the use of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Fundamental knowledge of mechanical fabrication and testing process.
  • Ability to collaborate successfully within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Sufficient verbal and written communication skills.
Experience:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of moderately complex to complex opto-mechanical design and one or more mechanical design/analysis code (eg. INVENTOR/SOLIDWORKS).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FEA modeling tools to compute optical surface deformation due to the effects of mounts, gravity and thermal variation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computing optical surface deformation using Zernike coefficients.
  • Working knowledge of space hardware design, test and operation.
  • Experience in using metrology tools for integration, alignment and verification of optical payloads.
  • Experience in the field of mechanical fabrication and testing process.
